Real power comes when you say " yes" against all odds and do it. You do whatever it takes to honour your "yes". A person who does that is greatly admired because he has displayed a rare kind of inner power. But the greater power comes from making a promise that you don't even know you are capable of fulfilling. You take on a promise as a challenge. When you fulfill it, it gives you a sense of power and courage that you have never experienced before. But what if you fail? yes, what if ? When you take challenges like these, failures can happen. It is perfectly normal and acceptable. Failure is not a bad word. It is a reality of life. It is better to have failed in something than have lived in a comfort zone of "I will try". Children do understand " I will try." They interpret it as " yes". " I will try" is an adult game. It is a polite way of refusing. When you shift from the trying space, you feel empowered already. All it takes is giving up one word because that word has created that space. Chances of success are better if you come from an empowering space. No matter how long it takes to succeed. The only thing that matters in the long run is the space from where you come.
