A word from the wise, it is highly recommended to remove wisdom teeth by the age of 18. Next root canals and removal of wisdom teeth is among the most feared procedures in dentistry, in some people think don't get fully developed, they normally start to appear by the age of 10 and start surveys between 18 years of age and the early 20s. Wisdom teeth are also known as third molars and unfortunately the often get impacted with adjacent teeth of structures, it was a case and they are created at an early age to procedure for removing them doesn't involve major risks, and young adults and removal procedure only involves minor oral surgery.
Oral hygienists and dentist are completely aware of the disadvantages that keeping the molar teeth represent, this deep structures are often very thick and are bigger than the rest in comparison, because of their size they are able to change the position of the rest of the teeth and a sudden shift may occur throughout the entire oral structure, if this happens the most common symptom is pain.
To Extract or Not to Extract -- Therein Lies the Question
This decision is actually up to the dentist, after careful visual examination and with the use of technology such as digital and panoramic x-rays a dentist will arrive to the position of whether or not to extract a structure, if the patient is in pain it is obvious that the tooth has to be distracted because a position it is in can be affecting nerves and the rest of the teeth.
Since the extraction of wisdom teeth is actually very painful most dentist will resort to heavy sedation or they may opt to apply general anesthesia to a patient, this way while the patient sleeps the third molars can be removed in a virtually painless way.
When it comes to wisdom teeth or to third molars is of the utmost importance to never wait until it is absolutely necessary to go to the dentist because the longer a person waits to have the wisdom teeth removed the bigger the chances are of complications this is multitude of fact that as a person ages the teeth fuse with the jawbone and as previously said their extraction may result in unexpected complications.
