Many points need to be seen while arriving at Vivaha Marriage Mahurta. Actually some astrologers of by the day/ Nakshtra/ Tithi and also as per auspicious dates given in the Panchanga but there is need to draw Visaha Mahurta Kundi as this gives practically an auspicious Mahurta for Marriage though in practice it has been seen that the parents may not stick to Mahurta. Be that as it may, all of you are advised to stick to Vivaha Mahurta for happy married life. Now, the following important points must be kept in mind.
1) That the 7th house should remain vacant-ad-just time for Lagan accordingly.
2) Mars must not occupy the 8th house (See point 12 also)
3) Malefic should not occupy the 8th house, as far possible.
4) Preferable Lagan should not be hemmed by malefic but it is stated by some astrologers that if malefic are combust or debilitated, the there is no harm.
5) Venus should not be in 6th house (house considered to be a house of extra-marital life). But Venus in combust position or in debilitation may not cause any Desha.
6) The moon should be lonely placed but the Moon must not be in 6th/th or 12th house.
7) Jupiter, Venus and Mercury in trine (Trikonas) and Kendras are capable of warding off many dashes and Malefic in 3rd, 11th and 6th house will also help in warding off the evil effects.
8) Marriage should not be performed in last Navamashas of nay Lagan.
9) Jupiter and Venus should not be combust at the time of marriage.
10) When Jupiter is in Capsicum, better postpone the marriage.
11) Even for marriage mahurta the Sun, Saturn, Ketu and Rahu shall be auspicious in 3rd, 6th, 8th and 11th houses.
12) Malefic except Mars in 8th house are capable of giving good results.
13) Better avoid movable signs for Vivaha Mahuta.
14) To the extent possible, unless one is in a hurry to go to a foreign country etc. Vivaha Lagan should not fall in 8th from Janama Lagna or Janama Rasi of the couple. However, if Vivaha Lagna and 8th lord form Janama Lagan or Janama rasi are the same or are friends, then no dasha (evil) is indicated.
15) Marriages ought to be avoided when the Sun transits Libra, Sagittarius and Pisces.
16) When Jupiter transits Leo sign and Leo Navamasha, no auspicious work including marriage be done. When Jupiter is in Leo and the Sun transits Aries, marriages can be held.
17) A boy should be better married when the Sun transits 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th form his Janarma Rasi.
18) When the Sun transits 1st, 2nd, 5th, 7thand 9th from his Janma Rasi, a boy can be married after some donations i.e. of a bull and gold to be priest (Pandit)
19) No marriage of the boy should be held when the Sun transits 4th, 8th, and 12th from his Janama sign (Rasi).
20) Best time for marriage is that when the Moon transit 3rd, 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th Janama rasi of the couple both. When the Moon transit 1st, 2nd, 5th and 9th form Janama rasi- of both couple, they can be married after donating a cow and grains to the priest.
