They have made a weekly television show that documents some of the crazy weddings people have. When I say crazy, I mean hundreds of thousands of dollars crazy. I guess if you 'have' it to spend, that's one thing. In this economy, many people are forced to watch every dime. The wedding that has a fairly conservative reception can still cost in excess of ten thousand dollars. It tends to be the reception where most of the money is poured into. Not even the location, food or drinks necessarily make up the brunt of the bill, but all the 'little things' accumulate to make for that hefty price tag. There are wedding collections, sold as a group and offered at a considerably better rate than a la carte. These will commonly include the little things you need like a basket for the flower girl, pillow for your ring bearer, garter, guest book and a decorative pen. They are all designed around one theme so they keep with the flow of your décor. There are collections available that not only compliment your colors but themes or time of year as well. The Irish Affection for St. Patrick's Day perhaps. There are ways to simplify your planning and purchases for the wedding and reception. The Wedding collections provide a way to keep the theme flowing and give you all the little 'extras' you need. The day should not be a stressor over every penny spent, so use ideas to keep things simple. The kind of money some people spend could easily give you the opportunity to go on a wonderful honeymoon or even buy a house!
