In the Bible, the Lord God said to Moses and Aaron, "Take handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle them towards heaven, then it shall become fine dust overall the land of Egypt, and become boils breaking out in abscesses on man and beast throughoutall the land of Egypt." So they did and it became abscesses on man and beast. And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the abscesses that came upon the magicians and uponall the Egyptians.

Herein, there are some notes
1. One may wonder how come, two handfuls of ashes could coverall the land of Egypt. Is the Biblical Egypt too small to be covered by two handfuls of ashes?
2. This story is not mentioned therein in the entire Quran; but it is said therein (in the verses 2:117, 3:47, 3:59, 6:73, 16:40, 19:35, 36:82, 40:68) that when Allah wants to do anything He just says to it:" Be" and it is in no time without the need of ashes that become small dust, and turned out to be abscesses affecting both man and beast, throughoutall the land of Egypt.
3. Also, if God love has to punish the Pharaoh of the Oppression, it is okay to punish him because he was disbeliever, disobedient and arrogant; but what was the fault of the beasts?
4. It is well known that the boils and the abscesses are due to microorganisms, mainly Staphylococci, and they are not due to ashes or fine dust.

Exodus 9:8-11 (American Standard Version)
8 And Jehovah said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
9 And it shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man and upon beast.
11 And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

Back to my question to the smart and interested reader:
Are the Scholars truthful when they claim that the Quran quoted from the Bible?
