A TASER C2 is a personal safety device that is intended to stop threats up to 15 feet away. The " TASER C2 is designed for use by the general public and utilizes the same technology and stopping power as the law enforcement model, but in a smaller, easier-to-use size. It works by launching out two probes from a disposable TASER cartridge. The probes deliver a scientifically designed electric signal that makes muscles lock up, therefore temporarily incapacitating an attacker for 30-seconds, so you can get out of harm’s way and call 911. In the event that you miss your target with the projectile probes, the device can be used as a direct-contact electronic control device or stun gun . Each TASER cartridge contains 20-30 small confetti-like AFID (Anti-Felon Identification) tags that have the serial number of the TASER cartridge imprinted on them. If a TASER device is misused, the police will find these tags and can use them to identify the registered owner of the TASER device. Each TASER cartridge can only be used once; therefore you may want to consider purchasing additional cartridges. Taser devices are not considered firearms by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATF) because the TASER cartridge uses compressed, inert nitrogen gas to launch the probes instead of gun powder. TASER devices are restricted from possession in Washington, DC, HI, MA, MI, NJ, NY, RI and WI. Additional states may have other limited restrictions on the use or possession of the TASER C2 device. Also, it is illegal for TASER devices to be carried or shipped out of the United States. TASER devices are not permitted in carry-on luggage for domestic U.S. flights, but may be included in checked baggage if you are traveling to a state that allows possession. The TASER C2 device is inactive at the time of purchase and requires the owner to register the devices with TASER International and pass a felony background check before receiving the activation code. Some states and cities may have additional requirements and you are urged to research all laws, restrictions and product data before purchasing a TASER device.
