No it isn't when you consider all the benefits of doing so. Just to name a few, by going vegan you'll lower your risk of contracting food born illnesses and cardiovascular disease. You'll also keep your weight down, have a longer life expectancy, more energy and strong bones. Moreover, if you're a woman you'll get the added bonus of easing the symptoms of menopause.
Going vegan is something that you have to first do mentally. You have to know within yourself your motivation for doing so. You have to know within yourself whether you intend to make this transition permanently or temporarily. If you're making this a permanent way of life and you're like most, you will need to embark upon this new way of life gradually. I evolved into this lifestyle. I started this journey as a pesco-vegetarian, then a lacto-ovo vegetarian then vegan. If you want to make this a permanent transition you should go about it gradually and at a pace that is comfortable to you and conducive to your lifestyle.
Essentially, with careful meal planning and if needed a vegan transitional coach making the transition from a plant to meat-based diet can be seamless. Going vegan means different things to different people. Some do it for health concerns while some do it out of concern for the environment. Some even do it for a short period of time with a targeted goal in mind like weight loss. The most important thing to keep in mind as to whether to go vegan or not is to know why you want to do this and what going vegan will mean to you. It's a very personal choice that has to be made independently and for your own benefit. Just know that going vegan is very easy. There are endless food choices and it is far more convenient and food options a lot more accessible today then when I went vegan some 13 years ago. So if you're up for a minor challenge, because it's not difficult, go for it and it will undoubtedly transform your life in ways unimaginable.
