Comparative Study between the Bible versus the Quran (12) Chapter by Chapter and Verse by Verse; (Chapter 12:1-10)
The Old Testament Verses from 1-10 are talking about God Blessed Abraham and promised him to be a great nation; commanded him to build an altar unto the LORD and promised to give him and his seeds the land. The New Testament Verses from 1-10 are talking about the Pharisees, the hypocrites Jewish religious leaders said to the Lord Jesus:" Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day" and tried to make a problem with Him. The Noble Quran Verses from 1-10 are talking about the Quran teach us the wisdom. Then the Quran mentions the story of the Prophet Joseph and his dream that caused a problem to him and how his brothers tried to kill him or get rid of him. It is noteworthy to compare the story of Joseph in the Bible versus the Quran to appreciate the Quran notice that any story the Quran mentions is one of the most beautiful of stories wherever you might read!

Old Testament:
Chapter 12 in the Old Testament is Genesis 12; it is composed of 20 verses. Verses from 1-10 are talking about God Blessed Abraham and promised him to be a great nation; commanded him to build an altar unto the LORD and promised to give him and his seeds the land.
Genesis 12 (King James Version)
1) Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2) And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3) And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. 4) So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. 5) And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came. 6) And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land. 7) And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him. 8) And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD. 9) And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south. 10) And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.
========= New Testament
Chapter 12 in the New Testament is Matthew 12; it is composed of 50 verses. Verses from 1-10 are talking about the Pharisees, the hypocrites Jewish religious leaders said to the Lord Jesus:" Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day" and tried to make a problem with Him.
Matthew 12 (King James Version)
1) At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat. 2) But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day. 3) But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; 4) How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? 5) Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the Sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless? 6) But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple. 7) But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. 8) For the Son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath day. 9) And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue: 10) And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.

The Noble Quran:
Chapter 12 in the Noble Quran is composed of 111 verses. Verses from 1-10 are talking about the Quran teach us the wisdom.
[1] Alif Lam Ra. These are the Symbols (or Verses) of the Perspicuous Book. [2] We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran, in order that ye may learn wisdom. [3] We do relate unto thee the most beautiful of stories, in that We reveal to thee this (portion of the) Quran: before this, thou too was among those who knew it not. [4] Behold, Joseph said to his father: "O my father! I did see eleven stars and the sun and the moon: I saw them prostrate themselves to me!" [5] Said (the father): "My (dear) little son! relate not thy vision to thy brothers, lest they concoct a plot against thee: for Satan is to man an avowed enemy! [6] "Thus will thy Lord choose thee and teach thee the interpretation of stories (and events) and perfect His favor to thee and to the posterity of Jacob, even as He perfected it to thy fathers Ibrahim and Isaac aforetime! for thy Lord is full of knowledge and wisdom." [7] Verily in Joseph and his brethren are Signs (or Symbols) for Seekers (after Truth). [8] They said: "Truly Joseph and his brother are loved more by our father than we: but we are a goodly body! Really our father is obviously wandering (in his mind)! [9] "Slay ye Joseph or cast him out to some (unknown) land, that so the favor of your father may be given to you alone: (there will be time enough) for you to be righteous after that!" [10] Said one of them: "Slay not Joseph, but if ye must do something, throw him down to the bottom of the well: he will be picked up by some caravan of travelers."
Back to the main issue of my series of articles; this is my question to you smart readers: "Is the Quran quoted from the Bible "?
