Comparative Study between the Bible versus the Quran (13)
Chapter by Chapter and Verse by Verse;
(Chapter 13:1-10)

The Old Testament Verses from 1-10 are talking about Abraham went up out of Egypt, He was very rich, the land was not able to bear Abraham and Lot and there was a strife between the herdsmen of Abraham's cattle and the herdsmen of Lot's cattle
The New Testament Verses from 1-10 are talking about the Lord Jesus spoke many things unto the people in parables and the disciples came, and said why He spoke unto them in parables?
The Noble Quran Verses from 1-10 are talking about the Quran is the revelation of truth but most men do not believe in it. Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that ye can see. Believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord (at the Day of Judgment). Then the Quran mentions some proof for those who consider. The unbelievers said: "When we are (actually) dust, shall we indeed then be in a creation renewed?" They will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein. Allah knows everything and anything, seen or unseen, concealed or declared!

Old Testament:

Chapter 13 in the Old Testament is Genesis 13; it is composed of 18 verses.
Verses from 1-10 are talking about Abraham went up out of Egypt, He was very rich, the land was not able to bear Abraham and Lot and there was a strife between the herdsmen of Abraham's cattle and the herdsmen of Lot's cattle

Genesis 13 (King James Version)
1) And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.
2) And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
3) And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai;
4) Unto the place of the altar, which he had make there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.
5) And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
6) And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.
7) And there was a strife between the herdsmen of Abram's cattle and the herdsmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.
8) And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdsmen and thy herdsmen; for we be brethren.
9) Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
10) And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.

New Testament

Chapter 13 in the New Testament is Matthew 13; it is composed of 58 verses.
Verses from 1-10 are talking about the Lord Jesus spoke many things unto the people in parables and the disciples came, and said why He spoke unto them in parables?

Matthew 13 (King James Version)
1) The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
2) And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
3) And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4) And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
5) Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
6) And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
7) And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
8) But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixty fold, some thirty fold.
9) Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
10) And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

The Noble Quran:

Chapter 13 in the Noble Quran is composed of 43 verses.
Verses from 1-10 are talking about the Quran is the revelation of truth but most men do not believe in it.

[1] Alif Lam Mim Ra. These are the Signs (or Verses) of the Book: that which hath been revealed unto thee from thy Lord is the Truth; but most men believe not.
[2] Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; then He established Himself on the Throne (of Authority); He has subjected the sun and the moon (to His Law)! Each one runs (its course) for a term appointed. He doth regulate all affairs, explaining the Signs in detail, that ye may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord.
[3] And it is He Who spread out the earth, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and (flowing) rivers: and fruit of every kind He made in pairs, two and two: He draweth the Night as a veil O'er the Day. Behold, verily in these things there are Signs for those who consider!
[4] And in the earth are tracts (diverse though) neighbouring, and gardens of vines and fields sown with corn, and palm trees, growing out of single roots or otherwise; watered with the same water, yet some of them We make more excellent than others to eat. Behold, verily in these things there are Signs for those who understand!
[5] If thou dost marvel (at their want of faith), strange is their saying: "When we are (actually) dust, shall we indeed then be in a creation renewed?" They are those who deny their Lord! They are those round whose necks will be yokes (of servitude): they will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for aye)!
[6] They ask thee to hasten on the evil in preference to the good: yet have come to pass, before them, (many) exemplary punishments! But verily thy Lord is full of forgiveness for mankind for their wrong-doing: And verily thy Lord is (also) strict in punishment.
[7] And the Unbelievers say: "Why is not a Sign sent down to him from his Lord?" But thou art truly a warner, and to every people a guide.
[8] Allah doth know what every female (womb) doth bear, by how much the wombs fall short (of their time or number) or do exceed. Every single thing is before His sight, in (due) proportion.
[9] He knoweth the Unseen and that which is open: He is the Great, the most High.
[10] It is the same (to Him) whether any of you conceal his speech or declare it openly; whether he lie hid by night or walk forth freely by day.

Back to the main issue of my series of articles; this is my question to you smart readers: "Is the Quran quoted from the Bible "?
