With this type of leadership, it is most suitable if the team or work force is already experienced. When the team is already matured, a command only makes the team work together towards their main goal being targeted. However, with this type of leadership, if it is always being used, you are likely to get people with less feedback. It is because the staff does not feel like they are inspired with someone dictatorial or let's say, intimidating. Thus, less interaction inside the company takes place.

Think about where you are in life. Are you an effective leader? Could you use more work? If you are new to management, or new to parenthood, you may be thrust into the world of leadership. Some people grew up with their parents allowing them to lead, thus having more natural leadership tendencies. For most of us, this is NOT the case. Thankfully, leadership is a learned skill. Leaders can be developed, the skill can be honed over time. Just like any other skill, practice makes perfect.

If these questions left you scratching your head we need to work on your management skills. If you don't know the first thing about anyone working for you, chances are your workforce probably has little respect for you. You might rebut with "How could that be, I'm the CEO." Well in the military you are not respected by your rank alone and it's no different in the corporate world. Respect has to be earned.

Leaders seldom criticize others; that is, a good leader should not. Because, the time spent critiquing others could be used to develop a point of weakness in you. Effective leaders never look for excuses to make a change, they look for causes worthy of a change-a futuristic change that will benefit the community. A leader who seeks accolades never achieves anything noteworthy; instead, a good leader is one who believes that all things are possible with time and is dedicated to seeing a set goal come to pass.

People are much more likely to follow a leader when they believe in that leader. Unfortunately, what leaders often have to say to their followers can directly conflict with their followers' beliefs and long standing habits. The results are chaos, arguing, and poor performance. Whenever that happens, your best bet is to step back and lead through example, like Benjamin Franklin did in the following story.

One of the best ways to overcome the struggles of prioritizing our responsibilities is to become a master of the top three techniques successful people use to grow their businesses. Once you have success and momentum from achieving this goal, everything about being a business owner falls into place.

Increasing worker productivity, quality and customer service (internal or external) has always been an important issue raised by management for several years. As technology gets better every year, dozens of tools have been designed just to improve in these areas. Although I have nothing against these tools, but some leaders tend to give more focus on them than increasing employee motivation.

Self-motivation, on the other hand, relies on the inner drive of each person to achieve results. The battery is inside with self-motivation. The personal energy level of the employee becomes the major source of motivation, that drives him or her to succeed, and achieve breakthrough results. Self-motivation depends on the wellspring of personal energy that resides within each of us.
