Gravity, age, and the environment all contribute to sagging skin and creases in our facial features.  If you are not happy with the lowering brow that has come with age or the ever-deeper furrows or frown lines, you may want to think about having an aesthetic procedure done to rejuvenate the face.  The endoscopic brow lift is a relatively short cosmetic surgery procedure that is practically non-invasive and will help restore your facial features to a more youthful appearance.

The endoscopic brow lift is done in an outpatient facility and the surgeon can use either local or general anesthesia, or both.  Tiny incisions are made in the area of the scalp and an endoscope is inserted.  This is a small tube, or cannula, which has a miniature camera on the end.  The tiny camera allows the plastic surgeon to see more accurately what is needed and assists him with being able to work under the skin.  Your board certified plastic surgeon will tighten and re-align the forehead muscles, lift the sagging brow, and even adjust the eyebrows.  Frown lines will be minimized or even reduced.  Miniscule sutures are used to close the incisions, so there is very little scarring.

The endoscopic brow lift procedure takes from one to two hours, and the patient is able to return to work within a few days.  Temporary swelling or bruising may occur during the recovery period, but is usually minimal.  Other risks such as infection, nerve damage, or excessive bleeding may rarely occur.  Having an experience surgeon will make having an endoscopic brow lift easy and the results worthwhile.
