Do you struggle with Time Management? Do you want to achieve more each day? Are you run down when the day is done because of spending the whole day constantly going from one task to the next? Do you feel as if you do not have time to think and are running on auto pilot?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you might be attempting to do too many things at the same time. When you always try to do more, you may actually be completing less. The less you get done, the worse your self image and guilt will be, thereby forcing you to attempt to do even more.

When you keep on pushing yourself too much you put yourself in a situation that will make you go from a bad performance to a worse performance. To keep on traveling down this road won't take you anywhere. You cannot keep on doing this without something going wrong and taking you over the edge that you are stepping too close to. This is the time right now to quit existing in this foolish way. You cannot behave like this for the rest of your life. There is a way to stop this foolishness and do better.

The first thing you need to do is give up on trying to do more. You simply cannot do any more. You are, in fact, merely a human being and humans can only do so many things and very few can be done at the same time. Time Management is crucial.

Next you need to realize that your success is not interwoven with how much you can do. Success depends on doing the right things at the right time. Having the right skills in place to manage your time is important. You may be like the majority of people. Roughly, only twenty percent of actions that are taken during the day result in a desired result. That means that that about eighty percent of this time actions will be keeping people from achieving their goals.

Believe it or not, everything we do is purposeful and really matters in some way according to the thoughts of most people. Unfortunately, the truth is time is spent doing things that either doesn't have to be done, or can be done by someone else. Much time is spent doing necessary tasks to keep from doing what really needs accomplishing. If you think this does not apply to you, stop and think about how you spent your productive time yesterday. Now think of how you spent time in the last week. A good way to vividly see if you are spending your time productively is to jot down an hour-by-hour list of tasks you needed to do. Next write down an hour-by-hour list of what you actually did during this time. Examine the list and consider what would have happened if you had not done the tasks. How do you feel after looking at your answers?

Don't try to micromanage all of the people who are working for you. The notion that "if you want it done right, you have to do it yourself" is nothing more than an ego-boosting device. Simply allow the other people to handle the tasks you have given them; don't take on the burden of managing everything they do.

Now return to the list you just made. How many of those activities did you do while avoiding things you should have been doing instead? Be honest. How many things did you avoid that are needed to achieve your goals? When you keep avoiding the tasks that are required for success then there is a reason for that behavior you must find. Lack of time management is only a symptom in many cases. Find the root of your problem and learn how to get past it. Overcome the root of your problem and you can go on to achieve the success you desire.
