Both a passenger and goods lift are available in a range of sizes and dimensions and any company or organisation wishing to install an elevator must consider carefully what the individual needs of the building are and what is the most appropriate lift size to accommodate these.
From the smallest lifts such as dumb waiters, which are generally used to transport hot food to its destination quickly, to the commercial elevators designed to hold large quantities of people and cargo or freight each type has its own place in a building or business. Some passenger lifts for example can accommodate up to 33 people and are ideal for premises or companies which need to transport larger numbers of individuals or bigger quantities of stock or supplies quickly and conveniently. These types of elevators may be appropriate for hospitals or busy warehouses or retail outlets.
