According to the April 15, 2010 article in the Honolulu Advertiser the number of weddings in Hawaii has dropped off about 30 percent over the last five years.
With a tight economy, less people are able to come to Hawaii to tie the knot. According to the Honolulu Advertiser, many of the larger weddings that are coming to the islands has fallen. Couples getting married are tightening their budgets and are simply not bringing as many family and friends as they used to.

Susan states that, one of her clients came to Maui with eleven guests.
