Below are some of the questions we are often asked about macrolane.
What does the treatment involve?
A gel composed of haluronic acid is injected below the breast tissue to increase the size and reshape the bust.
Who is suitable for treatment?
Any lady with a size A cup who would like to go to a B, or from a size B to a C would benefit from Macrolane. Younger elastic skin (25-50 years) with breast tissue more than 1cm thick is the best combination and gets the most lift from Macrolane Breast Shaping Injections.
A lady who has nipples that have come down and wishes to have a fullness of the bust when she is wearing an evening dress or a low top will benefit fromMacrolane Breast Shaping Injections
Men or women with flat buttocks can achieve significant volume in just one treatment.
How is the treatment performed?
Treatment is performed under local anaesthetic and takes approximately 45 minutes. It is best to take the rest of the day off work and avoid exercise involving the chest area for 2-3 days
How Does Macrolane Feel?
Macrolane feels firm for a few days like firm breast tissue as it absorbs water, after a week or 2 it begins to soften and after a few weeks becomes quite soft and very similar to breast tissue.
What is Macrolane?
Macrolane Breast Shaping Injectionsare made from a natural body substance- Hyaluronic Acid.
How is it different to surgical breast augmentation?
Macrolane treatment is performed under local anaesthetic compared to general anaesthetic in surgical procedure.Macrolane has minimal downtime and causes no scarring.Macrolane does not interfere with the results of Mammograms which are obstructed by silicone implants. This allows you to have regular checks of your breasts that show all of the tissue.
Do Macrolane Breast Shaping Injections Hurt?
The bust is numbed by our doctors using local anaesthetic. Following this you will experience only minimal discomfort
How Long Do Macrolane Breast Shaping Injections Last?
Macrolane is topped up every year with roughly half the volume that is injected initially. Most people would have 200mls in the first treatment thus have a 100ml top up in 12 months. They would then have a longer period before the next top up, say 14 months and so on.
Is Macrolane Breast Shaping Safe?
Macrolane consists of Hyaluronic acid which already exists within your body and thus is not recognized as a foreign substance. Extensive trials over since 2002 have shown no long term issues.
