Being constipated can make you feel uncomfortable, bloated, heavy and sluggish every time and can affect your daily life.

Constipation, a common digestive problem is a symptom, not a disease that could be defined as having a bowel movement fewer than three times per week. The whole experience of constipation is painful for its sufferer where one can find it difficult to have a regular and smooth bowel movement as stools become hard, dry, small in size, and difficult to eliminate and the worst part of the constipation is that you may still experience a need to have a bowel movement, no matters you've already had one. The whole experience is so stressful that it could affect your daily life making it very difficult for you to perform everyday tasks.

No one wants to be a victim of constipation because of its serious consequences but the truth is that almost everyone experiences constipation at some point in their life, and the major cause of this is today's lifestyle and a poor diet that has become an essential parts of our life. According to your diet and lifestyle you can suffer a temporary constipation or a long-term constipation and if you are the one who is experiencing a long-term constipation, there is a need to understand its causes, prevention and treatment for the sake of constipation relief you deserve.

There is a need to change a lifestyle first and then to take a balanced and nutritious diet. You should try to be physically active so that the foods you eat digest well in time. As the one of the common cause of constipation is a lack of enough fluids and fiber in a person's diet, you should try to drink plenty of water so that there is enough water to be absorbed for the bowel movement to make stools smooth to pass.
