To be chosen by your best friend to be a bridesmaid is a great honour, and to be asked to be the maid of honour is very high in the flattering stakes. Talk About History As the maid of honour, your main task is to help those in the audience to imagine the bride and grooms past and how they met. Always begin by explaining how it is that yourself and the blushing bride came to be friends whilst you were still young. Often, these stories can be quite amusing so do not be afraid to make some of the onlookers chuckle in their seats. Talking about childhood and first loves is always a lovely topic to hear about, especially when you compare the first boyfriend to the man whom she has just married. Look into the Future Rather than predicting the future as if you were psychic, try to reminisce with the bride and the rest of those who know her on how you used to think life would turn out whilst you were still children. Remind the beautiful bride how she pictured falling in love with the first man she met, buying a dog, moving into a house with a white picket fenced garden and getting married, all within a month! Quite rightly so, as you grew older together you both soon realized that this might not happen, it might take anything up to two months even, shocking. If you can them compare her past dreams with the dreams that she still has yet to live in the future with her new husband, the vast differences will shine through, but for the better. She has just married the man of her dreams, they have successfully got past any trials and tribulations and are about to begin the first day of the rest of their lives together.
