To work hard, you also better learn how to play hard. Indulge yourself every now and then. Of course, this isn't to say that you need to let go. But when life gets the better of you, you know that you also have to treat yourself every now and then. So, what pleasures can you really indulge in? Here are a few that may help lift your spirits:

1. Binge out on junk and sweets. Give yourself one day a week to really eat your favorite foods. As long as you balance your meals for the rest of the week, it's okay to do this. One day isn't enough to make you gain all that unhealthy weight.

2. Watch all the reality TV you want. You somehow get a pleasure in knowing that some people lead such ridiculous lives. It's fun to see just how outlandish they can become. Pretty soon, you'll think that despite all your past mistakes, you've lead a rather sane and decent life.

3. Spend a day watching all the movies in the theater. There are just times when you don't have to think. Sit there and just enjoy the show. Who knows, maybe there's even a storyline that may inspire you.

4. Go for books that don't require much thinking. This is much like watching a movie. As long as you read through the chapters, following the story will be easy. Transporting yourself to another place may be just what you need to feel good. Plus, you may even get a good laugh in the end.

5. Look through the net and check out all the vacation spots you want to go to someday. Mark them all on the map and start planning. Sure, you may not have enough money right now, but dreaming never hurts anybody.

6. Start planning a way to save and promise yourself to make this year even more special for you.

7. Get yourself involved in a variety of water sports. Your summer trips may, most likely, take you to the ocean. Make the most out of it by knowing that you have options available for you.

8. Learn a new language. Not only is it good for the mind, but this could actually come in handy when you make a spur-of-the-moment trip with you and your pals.

9. Try a variety of exotic dishes. Go Asian, Italian, Chinese, or Japanese. Whatever your choice may be, exposing yourself to something you don't normally eat opens your mind up to new and wonderful possibilities.

10. Start planning for ways to bond with your group of friends. Hey, everybody needs a break, and somehow, doing things together may actually be better for all of you.

As you try to get past all the responsibilities resting on your shoulders, work becomes easier when you know that you can actually look forward to something. Think of it as a reward, and no matter how simple it is, if it feeds your soul, then you have every right to go for it.
