With this article, we are not going to dwell on why a marriage fails . Instead, we are going to focus on the positve and talk about ways that you can either save your marriage and keep it intact before it is too late, or bring your spouse back because of the things you learn to implement with these tips. Let's begin.

Begin by searcing your relationship for any leaks, breakdowns, fissures...anything that has caused it to break down and threaten its destruction. Sure, there are obvious things like infideltiy, but I am talking about going deeper than that. You see, infidelity isn't a cause of relationship breakdown. Something else has caused that behavior. It is that something else that I am talking about here. Find that cause and work it out.  Marriage fails because we cannot always see these cracks until it is too late.

While you are searching deep into your relationship for the faultline, there are some other things you can do to strengthen your marriage. Some of you reading this might cringe at hearing these things, but you'd better believe that these basic pointers work wonders to strengthen marriages and repair broken homes. For instance, just taking the time to listen to your significant other shows that you care about them. Keep in mind that this doesn't always mean "find a solution" for them. Sometimes, just listening is all they need to help work things out for themselves. You know, be the shoulder that your spouse cries upon when needed. Nothing squelches a marriage faster or more severely than to develop a communication gap.

Along with being a good listener is providing encouragement. Nothing bolsters a relationship more than to be supportive of the things that interest them, whether it is an activity that they want to do, a place they want to go, even a career path they want to journey along. Whatever it is, large or small, support them in it and be enthusiastic about it, because it is what they want.

You will also want to be someone who is dependable. This isn't something reserved only for boy scouts. Your spouse needs to know you got their back should the need arise. It doesn't take much to be there for your loved one. It shows you care, that you have them in mind and in heart. By being someone that they know they can count on, through thick and thin, the bonds that bring you together will be so strong that no one can break them.

Most important, don't just read this and do nothing. So many people think just reading about how to do something is enough. Reading isn't assimilation. Things won't just happen on their own just because you read this. You need to immediately put this plan into action. Only through action will your spouse know you care and are dependable. A person who takes action to strengthen a relationship can never be the reason for why a marriage fails .
