"Do you have any plan of quitting cigarette smoking?"  I asked my friend.

"Plan?  I'll stop and that's it!" she replied.

"Like the last time huh?" I don't intend to be sarcastic but it's been always that way!

Honestly that's how my friend Sally is, she always make on the spot decision which makes her a lively person but when it comes to smoking, it was the 3rd attempt she made, and this time I asked her if she have any methods on how to quit smoking before it becomes another failing plan and makes smokers cough worst.

Expectedly, she doesn't have any methods or goal.  She blamed her two last attempts to her anxiety and stress and did not take responsibility of her actions.  According to her, at this point she is willing to make a plan and stop her unhealthy habit for good.

What is your preparation method to quit?

If you do not have any, then you can be like Sally who failed twice just because of no proper planning and not even invested for the success of her plan to stop smoking for good.  It is your health and your family's health that is in line at this issue!

Ways on how to stop smoking do not have to be a novel; there are just some basic things to remember that may help. Methods of how to quit smoking for good health are broken down into three sections below:

Goals– jot down realistic goals with exact time frame.  It can be the exact date on when you will start your quitting goal or maybe how sticks you will subtract everyday.  Any will do as long as it is documented and is with you all the time.

How to avoid longings– Many have a hard time to avoid their longings to cigarettes caused by nicotine addiction that developed after long years of smoking.  It is a must to create an action plan once it strikes you, it requires of you to divert yourself from something affirmative.  Cleaning your home or your office space, or maybe think of a tennis game (something repetitive is soothing), or anything except smoking.

Reasons– An important principle to work out is to change your attitude from that of a smoker to a non – smoker.  In order to make this possible you will need a strong reason why quitting cigarette is best for you.  It will make things a little easier if you list down the benefits you will get from quitting, extra money, good health, better family relationship, all at any kind as long as itmotivatesyou!

Sally was able to pull it through with these tips at hand, it wasn't easy though.  What helped her most is the decision to submit herself to hypnosis course which worked for her since she believed in the power of it.
