Today, there are much more distractions we have in our everyday lives compared to the olden times.Probably due to the complexity of how completing tasks have become, it is usually the journey and the process of it that is the hardest path to go through.

It makes sense how simplicity is necessary so that we can get our work or anything we want to do, done in a shorter time and in an easier way. There are many catastrophes, costly mistakes and problems that arises, surprisingly, not related to the goal but to the process. Here are the types of losses we often make due to the wrong focus and adding unnecessary steps to a process.

Affects the main goal

Many times, and almost in any situation, you can see that getting a simple task done is not that easy when there are more steps added to it. There are reasons behind having rules and regulations in getting something done, but when it cost you time, travelling expenses and energy, the extra steps should be taken for a review or at least an improvement.

Unnecessary arguments

This is a classic situation where people gets into arguments, complaints and such caused by the extra tasks added to a process. The longer the process becomes, the more tasks it will have and the more people involved, means the more confusion and misinterpretation of the main goal. People often tend to get suck up with the details, disagreeing from different understanding and then becomes so involved with that particular stage, that the main goal submerged into the shadows taking lower priority.

Health problems

There are small 'stuffs' that we might easily shrug off and disregard as a problem. However, those little problems keeps adding up and leads to a major problem that affects our health. All those little stress factors that adds up makes a big problem. Unnecessary complexity affects not only the physical health but also mental and emotional health.
