Lamaze Method This method began in Russia and was developed by Dr. Ferdinand Lamaze. During class, both you and your partner will be taught about deep breathing techniques, massage, concentration and how to have control over your body during labor.
The Bradley Method In the late 1940's Dr. Robert Bradley developed this method which helps women to deliver naturally, using little or no drugs. In this course, a woman will also know how to tune in to her body and positions which will ease labor pains, as well as, prepare for the stages of labor. The Alexander Technique This technique is all about learning to release muscular tension, increasing breathing capacity and restore the body's original poise and posture. Upon learning this technique, women will be able to breathe and calm her system, stay focused during the birthing process, help open the cervix during dilation and be prepared for effective pushing as the baby comes.
