When we were born, we are born in a world that is totally stranger to us. There are lots of things that we can discover about it. As we grow each day as a baby, we devoted our time using the senses that we have: eyes, ears, nose, hand, skin and legs. Years later, we began to walk and explore more bigger world to discover. We begin to talk, walk, run and recognize people around us. We're in a hurry to learn new things by that time.

Then several years later, we're now ready for elementary schools and meet some new friends. School environment is new, there are lots of things to discover and learn inside it. We learn how to read and write then.

High school followed years later, and we're now learning even more greater and broader things. Most of the time, our time is not enough to deal with all those learnings. New ideas and facts coming out everyday filling our brain continuously.

We graduated high school, and then proceed to college. Here, we're learning things specialized on the course that we want. Everyday classes equipped us with much needed knowledge to be familiar with the kind of job we want to have after graduation.

Finally, we graduated college and found a stable job.

But then, for most people, they stop learning on this stage. For them, they already have the job, why bother learning more. And learning becomes a tedious task for them.

World is evolving so fast, lots of information are coming everyday. Everyday is a modern day survival, and only the fittest survive. That is nature's way of ensuring the best species will survive.

If you stop learning, how are you going to compete on this world? We must continue to upgrade our skills and continue to add new knowledge. It doesn't mean that if you are a carpenter, you are only limited to learn carpentry skills. The good thing about people is that we are capable of learning all the things that we can imagine if we only can work for it. Having different sets of skills is better that having only one. That makes you different from other individual, that makes you better with them.

Start with reading books, there are tons of it. Go to the library, browse online or borrow from your friends.

Take up new hobby. You can spend your free time doing other things, whether it's thru sports or dressmaking. Try different things often. From there, you'll grow and gather more skills in the process.

Talk to people who can teach you other things. Ask for their opinion, attend seminar, listen to online clips or read nice articles on the internet. Material is way beyond your imagination.

Explore new surroundings, meet with other people. Socialize with them, and learn from them.

After you finish school, you'll never again have someone giving you homework. And while you probably spent many years looking forward to that, it's important to realize that learning is a big part of what makes life interesting. When your learning is self-directed, it can be a lot more fun than school was. You were given a large brain for a reason. Use it.

Learning is a never ending process, keep on doing it and make it a habit everyday.
