There are Marriott Hotels under all manner of names; however, when you see the J.W. in from of Marriott, you are staying at one fine hotel. Here in Houston, it's the J.W. at the Galleria of course. One needs to make reservations early, or at least before the stuff hit the economic fan you did.

There are vacancies where once upon a time there was no room at the Inn! See where I'm headed here?

In our world there's no room for God. I am reminded of two stories that say it better than I. The great theologian, Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote a few months before he was killed by his German guards, "Man has learnt to deal with himself in all questions of importance without recourse to the working hypothesis called God".

Though we all possess the spark of divinity with, others take that to the opposite extreme that Bonhoeffer was referring.

The second story is when Pierre-Simon Laplace had shared his planetary calculations with Napoleon, who asked Laplace, "Monsieur, they tell me you have written this large book on the system of the universe, and have never mentioned the Creator." Laplace replied, "I had no need of that hypothesis."

Exactly! Most people today have OBVIATED any needs of God.

And until the recent discovery of quantum physics, most scientists agreed; however, a large minority (of which Albert Einstein was one) now see a Creator-Consciousness at work in the universe. Leaders and governments around the third rock from the sun are increasingly discovering that they are not in control.

Today it wouldn't be, "Job, where were you when I hung the sun, moon, and stars"; rather, it would be more like how's that BP oil catastrophe coming along Barack Obama, Bobby Jindal, Janet Napolitano, and anyone else who would like to answer!

Saying we don't need God is saying we don't need LOVE!

Give me a frickin huge break will you!
