While it may not seem like the most fun you can always have a non sleepover pajama party. These types of parties work out really well for the younger set. After all what mom would want to have ten two year olds in the house the entire night with just two parents supervising? The best part about toddler non sleepover pajama parties is the length. You can have a couple of solid hours filled with games, food, and fun.

For a non sleepover pajama party you are going to want to ask the child to bring their favorite stuffed animal and blanket. They will also need a sleeping bag or something comfortable that they will enjoy lying on for the quiet times. You will also want to make sure that they bring their favorite bed time story; after all no pajama party is complete without a bed time story.

During a non sleepover pajama party you are going to want to start with the most exhausting activities first. This can mean little games for the children that they can all play or you can break them up into groups. For this section you may want to consider a pajama parade. During the pajama parade all the parents will be able to see what type of special outfits everybody has and reward the kids with smiles and laughter.

At some point during the non sleepover pajama party you will want to have food and drinks available. For a birthday occasion you may want to have a bed cake. This type of cake is going to be in the shape of a bed, maybe a theme bed like a car or princess bed. You can have a Barbie figure or even a small teddy bear decoration for the cake as the designated sleeper. This can be created out of icing or you can just have the plastic figure that is removable.

Other games you may like to play can be hide and seek with sleep bags, parent and child pillowcase races, and of course story time. Story time is a great way to wind down the evening or day so that the children are ready to leave. You can have the children help read the stories of their favorite bed time stories or just read aloud for them. Remember that safety should come first for any non sleepover pajama party with little ones.
