Is it possible to get liposuction results without surgery or pain? Liposuction is a surgical technique which removes localised excess fat deposits by suction through small incisions in the skin. Areas which can be treated are the abdomen, thighs, hips, buttocks or chin. Although liposuction has a good safety record and has been used in the world of body contouring and shaping for well over thirty years, it is not risk free and is a surgical procedure involving anaesthesia and recovery time. There are many people who are looking to improve their body in ways that cannot be achieved by diet and exercise alone. New innovations in the field of body contouring are becoming more readily available, with liposuction being the most popular solution. However, there are alternatives to liposuction which patients are also considering, especially those who happen to be squeamish about undergoing a surgical procedure. The latest advance in non-surgical liposuction alternatives is a drug known as Lipodissolve. This is a drug cocktail of medications and enzymes and is injected into a specific problem zone. The fat in this area is apparently dissolved and is eventually flushed away in the patient's urine. Lipodissolve is said to be especially effective in toning the chin and neck area and is also claimed to be beneficial in the reduction of cellulite. Another new technique, Mesotherapy, is similar to Lipodissolve in that it is injected into the problem site and is meant to break down fat, tighten skin and reduce cellulite. Mesotherapy contains a mixture of vitamins, minerals and amino acids and apparently works by destroying fat cells in a targeted area. Another alternative is Smart Lipo, which is strictly speaking still a liposuction procedure, but has a minimal recovery time when compared with conventional liposuction surgery. In Smart Lipo, lasers are used to heat up fatty areas, which causes fat to melt away and the fat cells never return. The next alternative to liposuction is a boring one: diet and exercise. Unfortunately, this option is not instantaneous like liposuction or other interventionist methods of fat removal. Diet and exercise require discipline, willpower and patience. Even if you opt for liposuction or another similar method of fat removal, doctors will still advise that you follow a healthy diet and lifestyle. You can still gain weight, even when fat cells have been removed from specific areas, so this should be a prime factor when considering liposuction or other form of fat removal procedure. Finally, the last solution is acceptance - accepting yourself for what you look like. Very few of us have a "perfect" body, despite the images portrayed in magazines and on the television. It must be remembered that liposuction is not a weight loss tool and is never advised to be such. Liposuction can provide a good candidate with a significant improvement, but it is unlikely to achieve perfection. The best candidates for liposuction are in good health and have realistic expectations of what liposuction can accomplish. For details of our procedures on liposuction uk visit our site.
