One Islam: No Radicalism, No Moderation

One Islam: No Radicalism, No Moderation

There is only one Islam. There is no radical Islam. There is no moderate Islam.

Islam means submission unconditionally unto one, unique and indivisible  eternal God, creator of the Universe.

How can there be radical position for this statement?

How can be moderate position for this statement?

Islam invites mankind to believe in God. Islam invites humans to worship God.

Where is a radical attitude in this?

Where is a moderate attitude in this?

The Qur'an informs us of the divine message:

‘I have created Jinn and Humans only to worship Me.'  51: 56

Can we be radical about this?

Can we moderate about this?

There is One God and we are invited to worship Him and Only Him.

Either…Or…

We have the choice either to believe in this message and worship God or not to believe this message and not worship God.

We cannot be radical no moderate about it.

The logic of the invitation is a simple one, it is presented as: ‘Either… or…'

The choice is clear made between two options.

There is no place for radical standing or moderate attitude.

The Islamic Message, as it is in the Old and New Testaments, calls on humans admonishing them to take heed: for those who believe and do good is eternal felicity in a life of the hereafter, as for those who deny, their punishment is hell fire.

We have the choice to believe in this or not.

We have the freedom to accept the message or not. This is our right and value as humans. Humans take responsibility for their belief or disbelief, good deeds or evil ones. There is no compulsion in religion, the Qur'an announces this very clearly:

‘Let there be no compulsion in religion. The right direction is distinct from error. Therefore, he who rejects falsehood (false deities) and believes in God has grasped the firm handhold which will never break. And God is Hearer, Knower… As for those who disbelieve, their patrons is falsehood (false deities) … Such are rightful owners of the Fire. They will abide therein for ever.' 2: 256-257

One cannot be radical on this nor can one be moderate. You believe or disbelieve. You can follow the good direction indicated or not follow this direction. You can follow whatever direction you choose.

It is your responsibility.

Mal-practices by some Muslims

Islam indicates the way and it is for humans to follow it or not. If a human being chooses Islam as a religion and chooses to follow Islam in life then he is free to do so.

He cannot be radical or moderate about it. He follows it or not follows it.

If some humans, proclaimed to be Muslims, choose to kill, to declare Jihad against everyone they can do so. But these violate Islam and violate Islamic Shari'ah ( Islamic precepts and Islamic law).

In Islam the murderer is punished death. The thief by cutting off his or her hands, the adulterer by one hundred stripes.

There is no place for radicalism in this and there is no place for moderation. No interpretation is necessary.

The Law is clear.

Islam is a peaceful message. Aggression is strictly forbidden. The Qur'an informs us:

‘Do Not transgress, for God loves not the transgressors'. 2: 190

Where is radicalism in this, where is moderation in this?

In Islam there is neither radicalism, fundamentalism or moderation.

There is one Islam, nothing but.
