Being organized or unorganized is simple when living by yourself. You can decide on that by yourself and and are accountable only to yourself about it. When moving together with someone else, you'll eventually see the differences between you and your partner. One of the things that is revealed quickly is how organized your partner is. If you are organized and partner is not, this may cause some friction between two of you. This article describes a couple of things to remember when being in a relationship where other one is organized and other is not.

Educate
In order for your partner to learn the new habits in a household, you should educate your partner as much as possible about how to live in an organized home. However this isn't a one time situation, so prepare to educate your partner many times before you can see any changes.

Give time
Nothing happens overnight, so give time and flexibility to your partner to learn the new habits. Try to put yourself to other's shoes. For example, you didn't necessarily learn a new habit (like organizing) overnight, so remember that and be patient.

Appreciate the small changes
Thank you for your partner of small improvements he or she has learned. Feel happy when you see even some small changes towards more organized habits by your partner.

Do things together
Does your partner need help in organizational tasks? The best way to make him or her to feel good about it is to give helping hand.
Do those tasks together. By that way you are not letting your partner be alone with a task that he or she might find tedious, boring or otherwise hard to accomplish.

Don't give up
Finally, one of the most important things is not to give up. If someone has been unorganized all his or her life, the change may happen very slowly. Just don't give up. Remember that the change process may take time but eventually things will be better.
