Panic attacks and anxiety disorders affect even 5 year olds. The difference between these panic attacks on children and the same on adults is that the former one is tougher to detect. It is often misdiagnosed as a deficit disorder when it actually happens to be a panic attack on the child. Even hyperactivity is suspected sometimes, the main reason being the symptoms are close to being the same for both these kind of disorders. So it is often misdiagnosed in children.

While the anxiety disorders or attacks happen for some reason or the other and can be fairly identified, the panic attacks are never predictable. It can happen more than twice without any reason at all. The problem lies in identifying these causes. When these have an effect on 5 year olds, it might or might not have a cause depending on the diagnosis, but still it is advised to be addressed. The fact that it is hard to explain what the 55 year old feels makes these panic attacks unpredictable.

Like adults, children too have their own worries. It becomes disaster only when these worries and tension turn into panic and attacks their ability to live normally. This is quite a serious problem that can happen to any child. It can happen to them anywhere, especially at school or at home. These panic attacks can be specific as well, depending on the lifestyle of the kid, mostly just like adults. Adults understand it better than children, obviously. When these panic attacks have their impact on children, patient diagnoses and treatment is desired. Every child is unique and heir behaviors vary from how they do in school and at home.

The main two reasons for panic attacks on 5 year olds is the agony of separation and the avoidance factor, the latter being the more severe one. Some children may just have anxiety on less specific things and thus making diagnosing a tad difficult. But 5 year olds, especially boys, find it very tough to cope up with their parent's separation, for instance. Being avoided too makes it a problem for these young kids as they all thrive for attention and care at that age. The child carrying an abuse may feel shy to let it out, thus inviting panic attacks on it.

Panic attacks on children reveal in various forms, ranging from physical to psychological. Physical symptoms include intense sweating and difficulty in breathing. Psychological symptoms could be hard to explain for the child, but they mostly include abuse and avoidance. Children are often left bemused over their state, as it is understandably hard for them to perceive their problem. The child may be suffering from agoraphobia or the fear of social situations. The parents have to take extra care and concern on these budding children when they have an idea about the panic attacks their child is suffering from.

The first thing you do when you identify that your child is having panic attacks is to understand to avoid minimizing the problem. Patient treatment and good relaxation can solve this issue.
