Today, the most wanted item of women worldwide is fashion accessories. These fashion accessories may include shawls, scarves, brooches, and hats. From these fashion accessories evening Shawls are one of the most favorite clothing items. Women like Pashmina and silk evening shawls because of its quality and beauty; they are available in warming quality, remarkable beauty, soft texture, and excellent colors. These evening shawls were traditionally manufactured to provide warmth, but now they become a modern fashionable clothing item too. There are plenty of ways to use them; you can choose them for different weather occasion and conditions.

When it comes to shawls, did you ever wonder why the pashmina is more expensive compared to other kinds of fabrics? In fact, it is usually costs more even against beaded evening shawls. For those who want to find out where exactly their money goes to, there are two factors that are at play: the pashminas history and how it is made.

What is important to know is that in the hierarchy of fashion materials, the pashmina ranks high. Along with the ever-popular cashmere, it is quite a glamorous piece of material. The pashmina is in high demand and this should already be enough to propel the price. However, it is just not economics that are at play. Buying a pashmina is like owning a piece of history.

The fabric that is used to create pashmina evening shawls is also known as the pashm, which means wool in Persian. It was originally used to create blankets as well as protective garments. Pashmina has been around for a long time and were reserved primarily for royalty and other important people. Since it is soft and comfortable, it was considered as a luxury item.

The use of pashmina was also quite exclusive because it is quite rare. For centuries, Kashmir was the only place in the world known to produce pashmina shawls. An agreement made by the then leader of Kashmir gave him the exclusive rights to supply pashmina to Tibet. Nepalese women learned the skill of creating pashmina from their mothers and the knowledge was passed down from generation to generation.

To create the material, intense work is needed and it takes as much as 400 hours to produce enough material for just two evening shawls.

In the 19th century, foreigners discovered this fabric and began to spread it all over the world. The pashmina became more popular, a status that it enjoys until today.

Although the pashmina is not as exclusive as it was during ancient times, its value is not diminished. The material comes from Changra goats that live in a high plateau located in India. These animals shed their wool every spring and it takes three goats to produce enough material for one shawl.

The pashmina is a highly coveted material because of its distinct softness and durability. The craftsmanship and cultural implications of the pashmina definitely makes it into a worthwhile investment every woman would like to have.
