You are most to find out how to avoid three very valuable mistakes people often make when buying a medical lift chair and how to avoid these mistakes. The Electric Lift Chair can be very helpful for people with mobility challenges-but there are important things to know before buying one. Read on to learn these important cost savings mistakes you want to avoid.

A medical lift chair is an amazing piece of furniture. It is basically a recliner that both reclines and tilts in a way that a person can enter and exit the chair from close to a standing position. For seniors with mobility problems or persons rehabilitating from an injury or surgery, this type of a chair can be very helpful

1. First Mistake to Avoid

Many people are not aware that these electric lift chairs come in different versions. They all have the capability to tilt and recline, but some more than others. It is essential to know what will be best for the person using the chair and then buy the right chair.

There is the 2 position chair which reclines in any position up to 90degrees. There is the three position chair which reclines in any position up to 180 degrees. Lastly there is the Infinite Lift Chair. This version is similar to the 3 position in that it also has the ability to recline up to 180 degrees. However, it also has a separate control that allows for adjusting the height of the foot rest.

So, the first mistake to avoid is to not buy the wrong version. Know the different types available and which one will be best for the person using the chair.

2. Second Mistake to Avoid

Many people buying this type of a chair, also called a lift recliner, don't measure the area in their home where it will be placed. Even though these chairs can be extremely helpful, they are very big. The need more space than a typical chair because they also recline so dramatically. So make sure you know the measurements of the chair, especially how much room it will take up in its full reclined position. Then make sure you have adequate space for the chair in your home. Don't make the mistake of buying the electric lift chair, bringing it home and then finding out too late that you do not have enough space for it.

3. Third Mistake to Avoid

People come in different shapes and sizes-so do medical lift recliner chairs. Many people do not realize these chairs come in different widths to accommodate the unique size of the person that will be using the chair. You want the person that will be relaxing in the chair to be comfortable. The worst thing is to bring the chair home and find the chair is too tight of a fit or is overly large.
