The exchange rate makes the whole value proposition quite favorable. Whereas 1000 Kenyan shilling fetches about 12 USD, the same amount buys about 610 Indian rupees.

We get a lot of enquiries from Kenya and now cosmetic surgery demand has also picked up well. More and more women are asking for cosmetic plastic surgery procedures to get the svelte slender look like westerners and the procedures like Liposuction, Tummy tuck and Breast reduction surgeries are the most popular procedures” says Dr Ruchika Malhotra from Indicure.
With India offering Ayurveda and yoga as its USP for rejuvenation and wellness, people are looking at complete wellness packages besides getting a quick makeover. A week at a wellness resort followed by a quick cosmetic surgery is what gives them a complete new look at a quite affordable price.
“The demand for preventive health checks by Kenyans is also on a rise. Many people opt for a complete health check when they are here. Not only because price tag for it is very low but it makes much sense for them as it saves a trip if they have to seek another procedure in India, though most of them said they would love to come back to explore more and more parts of India, retorts Dr Ruchika from Indicure.
