Every woman has a basic shape or category shape that they come into when it comes to appearance. It goes beyond that where the little assets and flaws make each one unique. When picking out swimwear paying attention to this can help in finding the perfect swimwear just for you.

With the variety of swimwear on the market, there is certainly something that is sure to be perfect for any woman. Between the choices of one-piece, two-piece, and bikinis there is no shortage when it comes to wanting something that is sedate and classic or sassy and sexy. Then when one wants to add a touch of elegance to any of these looks there is the skirtinis, swimdresses and swimskirts for example.

So how do you go about picking the right one for you? The following tips will help to give you a little insight when making your decisions.

Type:

Here is where you are going to decide on any one of the categories as we just discussed. You need to determine which you feel most comfortable with. If you are somewhat shy, you are probably leaning towards the one piece. You may want to take a closer look at the tankinis however, as they are a great alternative to just restricting yourself to the category of the one piece.

Don't be under the impression however, that the one-piece swimwear is drab and unappealing. There are some magnificent selections in this category. With some of the high cut legs and low cleavage styles available in the one piece, they are beautiful and most certainly can bring the best of a woman's figure out.

If you are a little more outgoing then chances are you are going to favor the two-piece or the bikinis. Even within these categories, you can be as daring as your nature allows you to or sexy-conservative if you like.

Style

Once you have decided on the type you most favor then you want to concentrate on the styles within the category. Here is where you want to pay a little closer attention to your flaws perhaps. For example, if you are thick in the thighs you may want to avoid the high cuts. Then if you are short on cleavage, you may want to look for a two-piece or bikini that has a fuller top.

Color

You can make color work for you in both the flaw and asset areas. Darker colors have a tendency to make things recede. So if you are a little on the heavy side, then the darker colors are going to have a slimming effect. Whereas if you are a little on the thin side, the brighter colors are going to do more for you. In either case when it comes to patterns you certainly have a wide choice as well. Although be careful that the pattern is not taking away from your best attributes. Also, keep in mind the color of your skin tones. If you happen to have cool tones, in your skin then you want to compliment this with cool colors in your swimwear and the same applies to the warm tones as well.
