Are you a believer in positive thinking? Or maybe you're a bit of a skeptic, but you are open-minded and prepared to try new ideas in the search for a better life? Maybe you're just good and ticked off with the way things are just now and ready to move on. Whichever you are, whatever brought you to this point, here are a few positive thinking tips I hope will help.

Positive thinking tip number one. Don't get bogged down with names. It doesn't matter if other people call it affirmations, or manifestation, or positive mental attitude, use the one that sounds good to you. You need to get comfortable with whatever you call it inside your own head. Until you do, nothing really changes.

Being skeptical is OK, but you have to be able to put that aside, at least temporarily. If you're thinking this won't work, then it certainly won't. Positive thinking tip number two is that the process is self-fulfilling. The first big decision you have to make is that this can work. That this is do-able. If you already believe in your own power to change your future then that's easy. If you're not convinced yet then at the very least you must suspend disbelief. Give yourself the chance to prove to yourself that it can work.

I know that the idea of talking to ourselves is a bit odd to some people, but that's what you've got to do. Convince yourself and the job is 99% done.

Positive thinking tip number three is something that you can use now - and from here on out. This works every time.

Stop using the word "problem". Erase it from your vocabulary. A "problem" is like hitting a brick well. Wham! You hit it hard and you always come off worse. It's really tough to overcome a "problem".

But what about a "difficulty" or, better yet, a "challenge"? A difficulty is, well, difficult, but it's not insurmountable. It might be hard, but you can get the better of it.

A "challenge" is just that. I challenge you to do better. It gets your adrenalin going, it gets your blood pumping. Most of us actually enjoy a challenge.Taking on a challenge and winning feels like something that's achievable. What's more, that achievement feels great!
