If you're looking for Ocd treatments that work the chances are that you are suffering with this terrible disorder at the moment and are looking for a way in which you can improve your life and rid yourself somewhat from the thoughts and emotions that are binding you at the moment.

If you have tried a number of treatments for Ocd and have got nowhere so far,  check out some of the ideas below see if you can start to heal the emotions and thoughts that are binding you at the moment.

1)      Buddhist awareness and the treatment of cod

When it comes to treating Ocd our friends from a budhist background have something to teach us in this regard. When you feel that your thoughts are overcrowding you and you can't stop yourself doing something, simply take a step back and absorb the thoughts that are in your head. In this way you separate yourself form them and start to get perspective on what is going on.  As Ocd treatments go, this one is good because you take back your power and lessen the power of the thought in your mind.

2)      Looking for the deeper cause

When we look further into Ocd you can you might find a much deeper emotion that is at the root of it rather than what we just call anxiety per say. Take a second and ask yourself what the deepest emotions are behind your Ocd. You might find a thought or emotions that is at the root of the problem and is causing all the stress at the moment. It's possible this accured in the past and is still causing you problems Today. When you know the root cause of the problem you will be  better able to handle the present emotions.

3)      Tapping for relief

You may or may not have heard of eft, but it can be very powerful when it comes to treating specific emotional issues in life. I personally think it's the best treatment for Ocd. Look up the eft points on  you tube or a related site and simply tap the points that you see when you are thinking about what is bothering you. This can work wonders when it comes to healing Ocd and clearing the condition.

4)      Getting medical help

Although a lot of people are afraid of anti-depressant medication for one reason or another, if at the moment you are very overwhelmed by what you are feeling in your life and Ocd is really getting on top of you, I  think it's not a bad idea to take medication for a while until you can manage to free yourself of the emotions that are bothering you at the minute. This gives you time and space to move, so you can find the help that you need.
