When two adults divorce each other, there are controversies. One of them is about a physical property; or more than one. Such disagreeable situation may not come to an end without frictions because physical properties cannot be split in half.

What you just read is a simplistic but realistic way of describing what happens every day.

Since it is likely that divorcess did not write pre divorce agreements, two lawyers wrestle using laws as swords. Both lawyers try to reach a fair middle ground, but should they not find it, they take the case to court. The judge's decision is decreed regardless of who is happy about it. The two lawyers smile all the way to the bank regardless of the outcome, and could careless if the divorcees were exposed to detriments and aggravations.

I yet have to find one couple that enjoys any of this.

In the XX century, there is a civilized option which places on a silver platter a magnificent chance to prevent frictions, aggravations, hefty lawyers' bills, and a decision taken by a judge who heartlessly goes "by the law". This well developed industry makes writing pre divorce agreements to be a Godsend. It is the industry that I would be yelling about ~literally~ to those embarking in a divorce. At least one of the two needs to know how to write pre divorce agreements.

Although mediation is an option, learning how to write pre divorce agreements is a much better option because one or two documents are written by two people directly involved rather than a third party likely to not know ~or care~ what the particular circumstances are. To write pre divorce agreements is trouble-free and reasonably easy. After it is drafted, an attorney reviews it. The process is much less costly than litigating the case in court. The case still goes to court, but not for a judge to decide who keeps what. It is because the divorcees ALREADY decided for themselves.

There is nothing hard or complex to learn, but there are a number of conditions ~most of which is common sense~ that must be known in advance to exploit an option intended to benefit those who are wiser. Such option prevents frictions, aggravations, hefty lawyers' bills, and decisions taken by judges. It only requires to learn how to write pre divorce agreements.
