Temporary cures, thought temporary, give you a sense of satisfaction at times. These actually fall under the category of simple ways to prevent something that is not really pleasant, but still, a cure is a cure, whether temporary, or permanent. These also don get categorized as the risky methods.

There are cures that are less intensive and natural, that can always give you a helping hand with snoring, in case you don't want to avail the costlier and technologically advanced versions.

Some of the most innovative ways to keep snoring away are just the extended versions of sock and tennis ball method, that keeps the snorer on his side.

It is a condition where one's respiratory system gives weird resonating noises during sleep. It does not happen when we are awake, as we keep breathing through the day, so, snoring is possible only when a person is in the state of rest.

The throat muscles actually vibrate when they relax, and they produce noises. Then, the regular airflow creates a sound. The basic way to control snoring is to control these muscles.

Another type of snoring is the one where the person skips breathing for about 10 seconds, this can be corrected by diagnosis and proper treatment.

Products to cure snoring completely are not available, but there are products to relieve it.

CPAP or Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Appliance recommended by most people, it is a stop snoring device. It consists of a special mask that is connected to one pump and keeps the throat off vibration by causing pressure. Though it is effective, people have showed their disinterest after using it for about a year.

The snorer's head is to be kept elevated from the rest of the body to prevent him from making loud and disturbing noises. The adjustable beds are best when it comes to prevention, but they are not advertised as much as the other products. The adjustable beds cost about $800 to $1000.

There are pillows that prevent snoring, and their prices vary from $75 for a high quality pillow, to a $20 low quality pillow.

There are Nasal Valve Dilators, that are made for the mild snorers. The two types are the adhesive strip type, attached to the nasal bridge. The other type is the plastic strip type, which is put in the nostrils.

Second one has been reported of giving the snorer an uncomfortable sleep in spite of the proper usage and needs a replacement every year, the adhesive strip jus rips off during sleep, leaving a skin irritation.

There are sprays available in the market that can help a person to stop snoring, especially when he is having a clog in the nasal passage due to some sort of swelling. The sprays that soften the tissues are to be avoided strictly, as they might end up giving a lot of side effects on long usage. Stop snoring sprays are sometimes ineffective, as it arises from a dry throat or from a tissue that is hard down the respiratory tract.

The number of products available to prevent you from snoring bewilders the buyer. These are to be considered as a great substitute to other painful treatments, and these are best temporary helpers to let you sleep peacefully.
