Protect your Body and Health by Reducing Stress 9 simple steps

Stress the Silent Killer shows us why what you don't know can hurt you and rightly so. By taking simple steps one can actually reduce stress to a manageable level.

Stress is all around us from the office to home and even recreational activities

Lets take a look at 9 simple steps I have learnt from the book and of my own experience which can help to reduce or relieve stress.

Step #1

Relaxtion Break

Most of us work whether in offices or at home. Give yourself a relaxation break by

closing your eyes with a blank mind, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Each

break lasting about 2-3mins.

Step #2

Get enough sleep

Sleep is important to the body so get the required 8-9hrs of sleep that the body needs

Step #3

Exercise

Simple physical activity of exercise will help you relieve stress. May it be Swimming,

running or even aerobics dancing. It all helps to relieve stress.

Step #4

Talking about your problems

Talking out about your problems to colleagues, friends, counselors or even medical

professionals about your stress related issues or problems helps.
Step #5

Aromatherapy

Using Aromatherapy oils can help as its fills the air with scents that boosts and frees

one's mind and stressed body.

Step #6

Diet

A balanced diet is important so please stop eating junk and drinking too often as it affects

the body system.

Step #7

Fun Time

Give yourself some fun time daily whether with children, pets or even just watching a

great TV Show.

Step #8

Setting Goals

Set simple goals to achieve with success and assess or evaluate them later to see where

you stand so that u can further improve.

Step #9

Smile

Last but not least DO SMILE!!! I often do this when I feel stressed. I have my own

saying: " A smile a day takes many worries away " It does help if you try.

Go thru and try and test them for yourselves. I use these as I find them most effective for

me. Add on whatever you think helps there is no right or wrong ways but your ways to

help relieve or reduce stress.

In summary, recall the 9 steps that I use are Relaxtion Break, Get enough sleep, Exercise, Talking about your problems, Aromatherapy, Diet, Fun Time, Setting Goals and lastly Smile(Which brightens up your day)
