Marriage remains one topic that sparks a lot of debate. There are those people who believe that marriage is the way to go but, there are others who are totally against marriage. There are many things that would lead a person or people to dislike marriage. Many have posted their views and, their concerns and worries can be deemed as legitimate. There are many celebrities who have demonstrated openly that marriage is not for them. Before we talk about why many people are against marriage, it is vital for us to understand what marriage is exactly. Many will define or view marriage in many ways. The laws of your state or country are going to define what marriage is. In the United States, people must have a marriage certificate to prove that they are married. In many countries of Africa, people who live together a number of years are deemed to be married. Therefore, it will depend on your culture, state or religion. A lot of implications can be brought by a marriage and, let us start with a life time commitment. People against marriages are opposed to spending a lifetime with a person.
First, they might see it as something not practical. There are so many people who continue to file for divorce confirming that they are not ready to spend all their life with that person. People against marriage may be driven by some form of fear or phobia for marriage. You cannot get anyone perfect to marry and, you can be sure that you will have problems. The only problem is whether you are ready to compromise and, work out every situation. The new breed of women is not ready for this and, this has been observed to be so. People have formed clubs and feminism is their philosophy. There are many men in similar clubs and, the following are some of the concerns that I came across an Internet article of a man who advices all single people not to get married. Getting into marriage will mean putting half of your assets at risk. Of course you can go for a prenaptual but, many women will create trouble. The man does not understand why a private agreement should be turned into a government issue or a religious one. The government interference in private life does not go well with many and, this is one of the reasons why they are against marriage.
People go into marriage expecting a lot. Men are especially deceived by the charm of women. This is one of the weaknesses of men. They are often poor judges of character. After saying the marriage vows, they are angels for the first trimester of your marriage. The process of changing is gradual and, what was once a blissful home, ends up in chaos. The modern woman does not want to have children like in the old system. Many are the married women who abort children because they do not want the burden of children. This is just a tip of the iceberg. Many have other reasons why a huge chunk of singles have reservations towards marriage. Many people of this school of thought will not just stay celibate. They will move in with partners without the wedlock. This way, if things do not work out, they will part ways easily; with no complications. Weigh the advantages and disadvantages of marriage, whatever you choose, stand by it.
