What is the first thing you see when you meet somebody? Think about it. Isn't it their face? No matter whom you meet-neighbors, colleagues, friends, family, the first thing you notice and focus attention on is their face.


The process of losing fat begins with losing weight. This means losing body fat and extra water retention. When a person loses weight, his/her face changes noticeably-it gets leaner and sharper. The face slims first due to loss of excess water. The following steps can help you to reduce face fat:


Remember to stay hydrated-drink at least seventy-two ounces of water, more if you are usually exposed to the sun and lead an active life. If you drink very little water, the body, thinking that there is very little water around, will store as much water as possible, and, as a result, you will get bloated. On the other hand, if you drink enough water, the body, assuming that there is enough water available, will flush out the extra water. Stick to plain water, though, sodas and/or sugared drinks lead to bloating.


Eat at least three servings of fruit and three of vegetables daily. This will help you avoid empty calories and the water in them will aid in keeping you hydrated. When you want a snack, choose a salad over a chocolate bar. But don't consume fruits that have high fructose content-bananas, grapes, pineapples- in great number. Instead, have apples, oranges, berries and grapefruit, which are full of anti-oxidants and are low GI carbs.


You have to burn more calories than you consume. Try to burn 250 calories daily and reduce your daily calorie intake by 250 calories. If you reduce 500 calories a day, you can reduce 3500 calories a week and thus achieve the healthy, recommended, goal of losing one pound of body fat a day. This will, of course, help you reduce face fat.


Weight training is essential in maintaining and increasing muscle tissue. Muscles help you burn through calories and fat faster. Muscles, being living tissues, require calories in order to survive, and can thus help burn them not only while you exercise, but even when you rest. So, to lose weight, and reduce face fat, you should diet, do cardio, and train with weights.


So, if you want to lose the extra fat that's making your face look heavy and unattractive, as you must be wanting to, if you've read this article till now, it's really rather simple-to lose face fat, you need to lose weight as a whole. This will make you look much leaner and your face will become sharper, as the accumulated water and fat under the skin will be gone.


Just get into a weight loss program now, and follow these instructions to the letter. If you can lose weight and gain the desired weight and body fat, your face will look thinner as well. Your cheekbones will be pronounced and even your nose will look sharper.
