We all have different kinds and levels of stress, depending on what we do, where we are, and our personalities. Our reactions to stress vary as other aspects of our lives do. Perhaps using a stress ball to relieve stress is new to some of us. We may have seen it and heard about it before, but we just never even think of having one.

What is stress balls made of? Stress balls are made from high-density foam and squeezable polyurethane, or - in other words - soft rubber. They come in different shapes (though many prefer the basic spheres, which fit easily into the palm of your hand), sizes, colors and textures, although they have the same effect to relieve stress. Some stress balls are filled with gel.

Stress balls are not only used to relieve stress - people suffering from nerve disorders and arthritis use it too. Squeezing the stress balls in the palm increases blood circulation to the hands and helps to re-energize them. The increased blood circulation also helps to rejuvenate tired people who have been working all day long. They are safe to use at any age, provided that the person is able to grab with their hands. Stress balls can be used regularly to relieve stress with no dangerous side effects.

Stress balls are easily available from pharmacies and some office supply stores. Keeping one requires only a tiny space of your desk, so you can keep several of them handy. Stress balls are a cheap, easy and effective way to relieve stress – so start squeezing today!
