Although the loss of hair is not life threatening, it has an important cosmetic value that cannot be ignored. That is the main reason people try to do everything they can to find the correctremediesforbaldness. The loss of hair to a woman is especially dreadful. That is not to say that hair loss in men is not serious in any way. The symptoms for hair loss include seeing hair on clothes after combing the hair, bald patches, and a receding hairline. These symptoms should send the warning bells that you are balding. The causes of hair loss are many and varied. One of the causes of hair loss is insufficient nutrition. People who lack vitamin B6 lose their hair and those that lack folic acid often become totally bald. However, the hair may grow to its original levels once these nutrients are replenished. Other causes of hair loss include stress such as worry, anxiety, and unexpected shock, weaknesses caused by illnesses such as typhoid, anemia, influenza etc. A significant percentage of hair loss is however caused by hereditary factors. The substance that causes this type of baldness is referred to as DHT. There are tworemedies for baldness:pharmaceutical drugs and natural substances such as herbs. The natural treatment of baldness includes: - Treatment by rubbing the scalp. A constant rubbing of the scalp with fingers after washing the hair with cold water is one of the most efficientremedies for baldness. The scalp must be rubbed forcefully until it becomes heated. This will make the sebaceous glands become active and energize the circulation of blood in the affected area, therefore making the hair grow well.
- Amla oil can also be used as a natural remedy for baldness. Amla is made by boiling dry pieces of Amla in coconut oil and is helpful in increasing the growth of hair. A mixture of fresh Amla oil and lime juice can be used to avoid hair loss.
- A mixture of lettuce and spinach juice can prove to be very helpful in combating hair loss especially when taking about half a liter daily.
Other natural remedies that can be used include the amaranth, alfalfa, coconut milk, lime-pepper seeds, liquorice and onion. The pharmaceutical drugs for hair loss include Procerin, Provillus, Corvinex, among others. The pharmaceutical drugs stop baldness by inhibiting the growth of DHT. Male pattern baldness is caused by DHT. Certain chemicals, minerals, and herbs block the conversion of testosterone into DHT. When supplements that contain the proper ingredients are used, they halt the effects of DHT and assist in the growth of new hair especially in young people. However these drugs may come with side effects such as having a low sex drive. Such drugs are mostly for men as the cause for female baldness is different. Female baldness is usually caused by hormonal imbalances and as such DHT inhibiting drugs may not work for them. However, scientists are working around the clock to find the proper kind of drugs to give to them. It is important to consult with your doctor on the effects of each of these drugs on your body before using it.
