Many women suffer from high prolactin levels and a result, have low progesterone levels.  This is bad for getting pregnant because progesterone is responsible for making a fertilized egg implant - and even if you have conceived, the egg will break down and you will get a period.

So to get pregnant, you need lots of progesterone.

How do you get it?  Vitamin B6.  It has been linked to pregnancy success by researchers as it actually increases progesterone.

Tips for taking Vitamin B6

You must be careful about dosage for this vitamin.  More than 100mg is not recommended unless a doctor prescribes this.  If you simply want to take it on your own without a doctor's intervention, aim for less than 100mg per day, maybe even 75mg, and keep careful track of your side effects.  You need to be on it for at least a full cycle period before you can determine whether your progesterone levels are up.

Some side effects of Vitamin B6

Women report hot flashes, strange urine color (like neon), and increased PMS symptoms when taking B6.  The strange neon urine color is because B6 vitamins are water soluble and therefore come out in urine.

You can continue to take B6 even after you get pregnant; there is no harm.

If B6 does not help your attempts to get pregnant

If you don't find your pregnancy attempts working even after you have been on B6 for at least 2 months, try progesterone cream instead.  This is a more direct way of improving progesterone levels.
