Candida Albicans is a condition that has been around for centuries, although it was not until the development of antibiotics that Candida began to spread like an epidemic. This is because antibiotics kill of the friendly bacteria found in our bodies that keep common yeast under control. When candidiasis over grows its capacity within the body this can cause any number of symptoms from frequent vaginal infections for women, fatigue, gas, bloating and diarrhea. Unfortunately, doctors and physicians today only treat and pay attention to the symptoms of Candida and do not focus on the root of the problem causing Candida and this is how it goes undetected and untreated throughout the USA today.

When you are suffering from Candida, you may not even know it and you could be involved in a vicious circle of poor health because this condition is so difficult to diagnose. If you are someone with a poorly functioning immune system than you are already at a greater risk for Candida than others. This means that with a weak immune system you no doubt catch the flu and other seasonal viruses throughout the year and are on antibiotics frequently and this is the first and foremost cause of Candida today. From here everything you eat and put into your body can have a serious effect on how fast your Candida develops. Although there is no real test for Candida today, you can have your blood tested and for women who have constant yeast infections, you will more than likely test for positive.

After you have discovered that you are suffering from Candida, it is important to take the following steps.

Eliminate antibiotics, birth control pills and ulcer medications from your daily routines as they only contribute to the problem. Begin a yeast and sugar-free diet to help eliminate the excess yeast within your body that is creating these external symptoms. Some of the foods you will want to avoid include: sugar, alcohol, wheat, yeast, caffeine, refined or processed foods, dairy and low carbohydrates. When you are analyzing your diet there are far more types of sugar than you may have imagined so make sure to do your research before creating your sugar and yeast free diet in order to be sure you are on the right track to results.

Cutting down on your fruit intake is incredibly important because fruits contain high amounts of natural sugars that we generally do not take note on. Bananas have been found in recent studies to be one of the highest contributing fruits to Candida and should be avoided altogether for those who are highly susceptible to this condition. Make sure to begin slowly with your new diet in order to avoid shocking the body, and slowly progress to a more strict regime as you become used to the foods you can and cannot eat.

Although bananas offer many different health benefits for other conditions and diseases today that are one of the top contributors to Candida and this is something that is only recently coming to our attention. When you take the steps to eliminate not only bananas but other high in sugar foods from your diet you will not only see a difference in yourself but you will feel it as well.
