Emotions run high as you finally grab the phone and ask yourself that one big question:

"Should I call my ex boyfriend?"

The answer to that question is easy... depending upon your circumstances.  It also depends upon what type of relationship you're trying to put back together: one in which your ex loves and respects you, or one in which he walks all over you and takes you completely for granted.

In every break up, there are winners and losers.  The one who calls the other one first is usually the one who gives in to temptation.  At the same time however, your romance is probably very important to you.  Whether or not you should call your exboyfriend isn't a game: it's a very big decision that will affect the future of your relationship.  If there is one, that is.

Getting an ex boyfriend to call you first is always the ideal situation.  Believe me when I tell you this: he's sweating the break up too.  Even if spending time apart of breaking up was his own idea, your boyfriend still had doubts about it when he approached the subject.  Chances are good that he's still in the process of convincing himself, and just a little push in the right direction could have him picking up the phone.  But for now, let's say your ex boyfriend hasn't called you.  Let's say you've gotten no emails, no text-messages, and no indication that he's still interested.  What should you do next?

Some of the best ways to get your ex interested in you again are actually the simplest.  Being happy is probably your number one move right now.  Your ex is still watching you after the break up, gauging your reaction... and if you think he's not, think again.  Every guy on the planet will watch his exgirlfriend's reaction to being dumped, if for no other reason than to stroke his own ego.Guys love to know that you're still in love with them, still need them, and still want to chase them.  So when you don't?  When your boyfriend looks back over his shoulder and sees you laughing and smiling and having a great time without him?  It's the fastest and most effective way to grab hold of his attention again.

Many women sit at home, waiting for the phone to ring, wondering the same thing: should I call my ex boyfriend.  The smart ones however, have yanked the phone cord right out of the wall.  By leaving your ex in the dark as to where you are, your exboyfriend will immediately think the worst.  "She's not home?  Why not?  Did she go out?  Where to?  Who was with her?  How come she's not sitting at home upset right now... how could she be out with friends?"  These are all thoughts that go through a guy's head when they don't see or hear from a girl they dumped.  For this very reason, if you want your boyfriend back?  You need to make yourself scarce immediate after he ends things between you.

This means no calling him, text messaging him, or emailing him either.  Social networks such as MySpace and Facebook are off limits too.  The further you can disconnect from such outlets, the faster your ex will come back to you.  Wondering why he hasn't called you?  It's because you're still doing all these things.  Your ex knowsexactlywhere you are at all times, and feels no threat that you'll run off and move on without him.  While this happens, you're prolonging the break up.  Your exboyfriend will take it to the furtherest extreme because he feels the most comfortable right now.

Getting back an ex boyfriend requires you to beproactive.  You can't just sit back and hope things will work out for the best.  You also can't just pick up the phone and call your ex boyfriend whenever you want to... you need to first create an atmosphere where he misses you and want to hear your voice.  Creating a step-by-step plan for winning him back is essential to success.
