There's a sense of desperation that many women feel when a relationship that meant the world to them abruptly comes to an end. If you still love your ex boyfriend you may take to doing drastic things to try and win back his affection. It's not uncommon for a woman to endlessly call a man, email him or try and convince his friends to talk to him about the break up. None of these tactics will work. There's another big no-no when it comes to trying to get him back and that's devising a plan to make your ex boyfriend jealous . Even if this seems like a great idea, don't do it. Ultimately you will likely regret it and it may even cost you the man you love forever. When a relationship first ends both parties need some time to take stock of their feelings. Unfortunately, some men decide the best way to do that is to play the field. You may have heard through the grapevine, or even been witness to it yourself, that your ex has a new girlfriend. Your immediate reaction to this is probably going to be that you can outdo him by taking up with a great looking, available guy and making certain that your ex finds out about it. Even if he's got a new girlfriend, trying to make your ex boyfriend jealous can result in him making the wrong assumption. He may see your new friend as someone that is taking his place and it may kill all lingering feelings that he still has for you. In addition, if you try and make your ex boyfriend jealous just because you know he's been dating someone else you may inadvertently push him to be closer to her. Many men are so affected by seeing the woman they love with another man that they find themselves turning to another for comfort. If he already is casually dating someone, he may start seeing her in a more serious light if he believes you've fallen for another man. Many men do date after a break up but those relationships rarely last beyond a few days or weeks. You don't want to jeopardize a chance for a future with the man you love, so avoid trying to make your ex boyfriend jealous even if he's spending time with another woman. You want him to know that you are still available once he does change his mind and come back to you.
