Have you ever been ‘in the right place at the right time’ or did something happen ‘out of the blue’ or did you have a bit of ‘luck’? Have you ever said “I’m on a roll” when things have been going great? Or conversely, have you ever been ‘unlucky’, or ‘in the wrong place at the wrong time’?

Well, actually you are experiencing the Law of Attraction.

In its simplest terms the Law of Attraction is when thoughts become things. So, if you are thinking positive thoughts you will attract more of the same and the same goes for negative thoughts. How simple is that?

Everything you experience in your life is invited, attracted and created by you. There are no exceptions.

Attracting only the things you want into your life does take practise but a good way to start is by using yourmoodas your yardstick.

How do you feel today? Excited, confident, happy, proud, hopeful?

Well, the chances are that you will be thinking positive thoughts.

If, however, you feel disappointed, sad, angry, hurt, lonely or any other miserable feeling then you will be thinking negative thoughts.

So, in very simplistic terms, for the Law of Attraction to work for you, all you really need to do is observe how you feel and set about feeling just a little bit better. No-one can go from feeling really sad to deliriously happy instantly, but you can deliberately decide tothinkabout something completely different.

Have you ever noticed that when you start to think about a subject, for example, your partner being later home. It starts off with thinking ‘where is he ‘til now?’ the next thought is ‘I hope he hasn’t been in an accident’ next ‘what will I do if he’s been hurt?’ next ‘what if he’s dead?’ next ‘what will I wear to the funeral?’ and so it goes on. Your thoughts begin to attract the same sort of thoughts (miserable ones in this case). Once you learn to recognise this you can begin to deliberately change your thought pattern.

Better Feeling Thoughts

Below is a list of words that describe how we are feeling:

Good:
Enlightenment
Peace
Joy
Love
Hopeful
Acceptance
Willingness
Neutrality
Courage

Not so Good:
Lethargy
Anger
Desire
Fear
Grief
Apathy
Guilt
Shame

Before we can get to that feeling of Enlightenment, or whatever you would consider to be the ultimate good feeling, we need to know just where we are now.

What am I feeling?– either create your own list of feelings or with the list above decide where you are.

What's the thought that is creating this feeling?– identify the actual thought that is creating the sad, fearful, shameful, etc. emotion.

Now, where on the list is this emotion?

If you don't know - guess! For example, imagine it is somewhere between grief and fear.

Always choosing the lowest or most un-attractive emotion first In this case, starting with grief, simply acknowledge the thoughts and feelings by speaking them aloud. Then, take the route to the next more positive 'emotional feeling' on the list.

For example, start with grief. You could say,

“I’m really sad that my life is not going according to my master plan.”

Once you have acknowledged that feeling think of another way to express the same problem using the next emotion up the list.

“I’m afraid that my situation will never change.” (Fear)

“I really want my situation to change.” (Desire)

“Why won’t my situation change?” (Anger)

And so on…

Now, after having crossed the chasm from the not so good emotions to the good emotions enough times, eventually you'll be able to fly across that emotional chasm.  It takes practice, practice, and more practice to get fluid and confident but eventually you'll get there!

Realise that you cannot jump from ‘shame to ‘enlightenment’ in one jump – you should be looking for the BETTER FEELING THOUGHT. Just one stage will inevitably make you feel better, then one more stage etc.

By using this technique regularly, you'll find that overall your life is simply happier, easier, more prosperous and peaceful. From this place of positive vibes, you are certain to attract more of the things you really want.
