Overeating isn't simply a matter of poor self control.  Certain foods and behaviors encourage binging.

Mind and food

Many people fail to realize just how much of their eating behavior is out of  their conscious control; subject, instead, to biochemical impulses generated by the nerve cells of your digestive system.  It's not just a matter of what your brain associates with good food – there really is a sort of “mind” to the “stomach.”  Many problems with obesity are a result of poor quality food choices fooling the body into cravings that lead to overeating.

Responses to fat intake

Because humans have spend the majority of the last 2 million years without enough food, our brains naturally produce chemicals that encourage a sense of well-being as a result of taking in fats.  Only in times of abundance is this a problem, and having a grocery store at hand is considered an evolutionary luxury.  It is no coincidence that the availability of fatty foods is highly related to rates of obesity.

Biochemical response to carbohydrates

One of the first thing an infant learns is that breast-milk has a slightly sweet taste.  This sugar rush is intoxicating and never leaves us.  The response to sweetness is so instinctual, it is impossible to put aside.  You simply must accept that in order to stop overeating, you will likely have to be very careful about sweets – eliminating much of the sugar in your diet and replacing them with fruits and vegetables that are sweet.  It surprises many how quickly their bodies acclimate to the new “sugar threshold” they grow accustomed to in just a few weeks.

There is evidence to suggest that the body also reacts to “fake sugars” such as aspartame and saccharine, causing more calories to be consumed later.

Sugar management to discourage diabetes

Perhaps the most common reason most take care to regulate their intake of sugars is to prevent or manage diabetes.  With care, those who already have cases of hypoglycemia can prevent a full blown case of diabetes by becoming very serious about stopping the overeating that is a result of sugary snacks.  This is very especially true in the case of soft drinks and other corn sweetened snacks.

Regular meals

One of the best ways to train your mind to remain on an even keel is to keep everything topped up with regular meal times.  Since you gone to all the bother of stopping cascades of brain chemicals avoiding those crummy overeating problems, you can moderate your response to food more easily and on a regular schedule.

Avoiding diets and severe dietary restrictions

On a related note, many who suffer from obesity as a result of their overeating try very restrictive or fad diets.  These have a tendency to focus  on a single food type that can have the effect of putting your brain chemistry out of whack.  It's far better to simply get in the habit of eating sensibly.

When trying to stop overeating, your best bet is to remain mindful of how the food you eat will impact your chemistry.  A diet high in whole grains, fruits and vegetables helps maintain a healthy balance throughout.

Using Self Hypnosis To Regain Control

Using Self Hypnosis Recordings , you can regain control of your own psychological impulses and reactions to food, enabling you asphyxiate your overeating problem effectively with long lasting results. One such recording which delivers this is Stop Overeating by Debbie Williams, Debbie has had over a decade of experience in the fields of Hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming and this experience passes into this and all her recordings. Furthermore, Stop Overeating comes with a full 60 money back guarantee.
