Getting Your Body Ready
Maximize the chance of having a healthy pregnancy can be done and successful if you are healthy and fit to start with. You and your partner can make these changes if you are super-prepared sometime before you begin trying for a baby. To get in routine by this way you will ensure you've had enough time and an effect on your health.
To start trying for getting pregnant immediately, you may not do this following thing yet:
- It is time to think your discussion about genetic counseling.
- Check about the effect of long-term medication on pregnancy or conception, if either you or your partner has diabetes or epilepsy.
It is a normal case if the couples don't conceive straight away or even with no sign of pregnancy for a few months to go.
For Future Daddy
- Start to quit smoking. Research says that man who smokes has a reduced chance of conceiving because smoking can reduce fertility. Before and after the birth, daddies who smoke also affect the health of their babies for example; cot death increases and the risk of respiratory problems.
- Stop the alcohol. Consume alcohol in high amount may affect sperm quality and so the chance of getting pregnant become so small.
- Avoiding the stress. Stress can lead to fertility problems because it can change the hormonal in the body
- Stay cool. To improve circulation around the testicles, don't spend too long in warm baths and avoid wearing boxer shorts, because sperm is made at slightly below body temperature.
- Consume a healthy food; start to show support for your partner by eating good food and regular exercise will reduce stress and increase your overall fitness.
For future mother
- Take care of your weight. Monitored weight-loss diet carefully can be safe, not being overweight helps conception and can be safe during pregnancy and surly can make pregnancy more comfortable. Maintain the weight is always advised for women who are seriously overweight.
Being underweight also can make a problem in trying to get pregnant, since underweight can reduce the fertility as well as overweight. During pregnancy being overweight can put you in greater risk of complications such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
- Stop smoking; there are many risks that can raises because of smoking in pregnancy such as miscarriage, preterm birth, stillbirth, and low birth weight. It can carry out until toddlerhood or childhood too; the risk of respiratory illness is mainly increasing.
- Don't drink alcohol; completely avoid drinking alcohol for women who really want to get pregnant.
- Consume supplement that contain a folic acid; sometimes called Folate to prevent neural tube defects (NTD), Folate is an important B vitamin that's been shown. Before you start trying to conceive, it's recommended that you start taking a supplement. As in early pregnancy, NTDs occur; the dose recommendation is 400mcg a day. You can consume oranges, dark green vegetables, breakfast cereals, and whole wheat breads as Folate resources.
Have Sex
Regular sex increases your possibility of getting pregnant, work out your most fertile cycle time and ensures you have sex each day around that time. The most likely time for conception is 14 days before your next menstrual period is due, mostly women ovulate once during each cycle.
