Techniques for anger management are the following: 1) There must be self awareness. An awareness that anger is present should be considered. If a person refused to acknowledge that there is anger within his or herself then it will become a problem. Help a person realize he or she has an anger problem. Let him or her admit that there is a anger problem and it should be managed. 2) Go back to the root of the problem, why is there is anger? Why is there an overwhelming feeling of anger. Who caused it? What can you do about it? Thinks of ways to address it, think of reasons, think of solutions. 3) Apply the solutions and monitor the progress you are making. If it is not working at all, then change your strategy.
There are other ways to control anger. 1) Listen to classical music or whatever music that can soothe and balance the anger. Calm your heart, calm your mind and calm your soul. 2) Talk about your anger. The more you talk about it the better you will feel. If you are not prepared to talk yet, then write your emotions and feelings down with pen and paper. 3) Practice deep breathing exercises. It is one way to release kept up feelings, it is like releasing your inner hurts even for a while. It can also help in increasing your oxygen supply in the brain thereby helping you think clearly.
Those above mentioned things are just a few of the techniques you can apply to help you deal with your anger, manage and control it. If you think there is a need for you to get away for a while then do it. Do what you think is best and can help you deal with your anger. But remember to face it when you are ready.
If you feel that you are not manageable anymore, seek help, seek advice. Acknowledge the fact that you need help. Anger if not managed can lead to cancer and other heart ailments. Do not let your health suffer, let yourself be helped, let yourself be treated, let yourself free of anger. Do it now!
